by Trust2Connect?

Trust2Connect means that we naturally join in with people we trust, but hold back without trust.

It’s pretty simple, really. Our DNA programs us to connect in relationships with other people, so we can all accomplish and contribute more. Different behaviors are like different facial expressions in the way that they communicate to others. Most of the time we aren’t thinking about what our behavior is saying, and too often that means we’re damaging trust rather than building trust.

The Behavior Matrix provides an easy way to mitigate that downside and build healthy trust into all of our relationships.

A few years ago Trust2Connect completed a meta-study on how we like to be treated by other people. Through that process, we identified…

  • 6 categories of behavior that we expect from others.
  • 6 ways to support those expectations
  • 6 behavioral statements expressing positive outcomes within each of the 6 categories

None of this needs to be written down or committed to memory, because they all make perfect gut sense. In other words, they exist as part of our human nature, hard coded in our DNA. An awareness of them, and discussing them with other people is all that’s needed to keep them top of mind.

Biography

Jack Pierce studied design at the University of Nebraska, immersing himself in architecture, visual communication, photography, and copywriting. Throughout his academic journey, Jack discovered that the principles and tools of design transcend traditional boundaries; they can be universally applied to foster tangible change. The most profound lessons came from his roles as a visual communication instructor and professional graphic designer, positions he undertook while still an undergraduate. For Jack, design is not merely a discipline—it is a transformative framework that shapes his worldview and informs every endeavor.

Jack deeply understands that achieving new outcomes—both personally and professionally—often requires a fundamental shift in beliefs, which leads to meaningful behavioral change. This is true for self, and for others. His ability to cultivate long-term client relationships speaks to this philosophy and demonstrates how he empowers organizations to build trust-based connections with employees and customers alike.

As a founder and serial entrepreneur, Jack thrives at the intersection of innovation and experience, proudly embodying the spirit of a Millennial at 72. He shares, “A quantum connection to my spirit guides supports my divine purpose of restoring trust in our world—the kind of trust that anchors relationships for good.” For over 50 years, Jack has nurtured this connection, uncovering a profound intelligence about human nature that resides within our DNA. This knowledge, articulated through Nature’s Vital Spiral, demystifies the complexities of human behavior, revealing eight overlapping metaphysical steps that mirror the Golden Spiral of physical nature, often represented by the spiraling nautilus shell. The Vital Spiral framework is critical in fostering trust, which is the foundation for all meaningful relationships.

Even before discovering Nature’s Vital Spiral, Jack adeptly integrated design principles with the human element of trust, across a diverse array of fields—graphics, architecture, marketing, branding, software development, communications, coaching, mentoring, community-building, and education. He refers to this innovative synergy as “Future Redesign,” where pure design logic merges with the essential element of trust, creating solutions with a durable and resilient future. He is steadfast in his belief that this combination yields the most effective strategies for change management and encourages profound, lasting behavior change.

Over the past five decades, Jack’s expansive perspective on this natural evolution of design has not only amplified the value of his education but also unlocked remarkable opportunities for value creation. His varied experiences have culminated in the development of Future Redesign products, which are deeply rooted in Nature’s Vital Spiral.

Throughout his career, Jack has had the privilege of collaborating with prestigious organizations, including Michelin NA, Sony USA, Qualcomm, Petco, AutoNation, Newell Rubbermaid, NASA, Sam’s Club, and others. In each partnership, he has discovered that success hinges on the deliberate cultivation of high-trust relationships, anchoring teamwork in shared vision and goals.

The name of his company, Trust2Connect, embodies the essence of his future redesign process: forging relationships firmly rooted in trust, aligning people towards common aspirations. This foundational principle drives the Future Redesign brand, encompassing courses, content, and coaching. Distinct from traditional coaching organizations, Jack empowers individuals to harness their innate ability for self-coaching based on Nature’s Vital Spiral, referring to it as a “personal multiplier.”
